Grandmaster Jae C Shin

Grandmaster Jae C Shin has been training in martial arts for most of his life starting at the age of 12 in Korea, he trained under the auspices of Hwang Kee the founder of the Korean Moo Duk Kwan system

After reaching his first Dan, Grandmaster Shin began teaching as an assistant instructor and later taught at Korea University, Seoul Central YMCA, several colleges, and numerous other locations.

His many years of teaching experience and dedication have lead to his unique approach to Tang Soo Do training.

His expertise covers self-defence, forms, breaking, weapons, healthcare, ki gong and meditation. These separate arts have been refined into The World Tang Soo Do Association.

On November 13th 1982 a charter was signed which proclaimed him Grandmaster of The World Tang Soo Do Association.

Grandmaster Shin is one of the most respected and well known masters of this century. Having devoted his entire life to the martial arts he has been personally responsible for the certification of over 15,000 black belts.

Besides insisting on disciplined, rigorous training and exacting techniques, he has always preached the true value of martial arts training is in the application to everyday life.

Teaching children is one of Grandmaster’s favourite pastimes and he has become an expert in child development.

The demands of The World Tang Soo Do Association require that Grandmaster Shin travel all over the world responding to the requests for his instruction.
